Next Level Participation: The Oracle Gatherings

with Osiris Indriya (co-founder) and Alisha Leviten (managing director)

Over the past year and a half the Oracle Gatherings organization has undergone an extensive reorganization process that has led to an expanded circle of creative collaborators. Come learn how we work together to create transformational and educational experiences. In addition, learn which positions are available for motivated and creative people and you might find yourself becoming a part of the Oracle Gatherings organization!

In this workshop we will briefly describe the organizational history of the Oracle Gatherings since its inception in 2001 and will then focus on the organization as it exists today. We will describe our unique radiating circles of responsibility from the center out and offer explainations as to who is responsible for which aspects of each gathering. What is an "ORT" or a "Nitty Gritty Committee"? Who are the "Foundation Station" and what do they do?

Then you will hear about the positions that have recently opened up and we are looking to fill. Our hope is that, supported by all this information, a few of you will be interested in stepping up and joining our team!

A few of our open positions:

  • Promotions & Marketing Director (NGC)
  • Media Team Lead (NGC)
  • Vending Coordinator (NGC)

Osiris Indriya is one of the three original founding members of the Oracle Gatherings and helped create and develop the original concept and bring it into reality. The original graphic designer for the Oracle Gatherings Tarot cards and the designer of the original websites, Osiris has now started several businesses and works with countless arts organizations, advocacy groups, healers and artists to create web and design solutions. Osiris also continues to develop as an internationally recognized musician and DJ. You can currently see his art hanging at ToST Nightclub and Lounge in the Fremont neighborhood in Seattle.

Alisha is a relatively recent addition to the organization, though a long time supporter and participant. Originally she joined the team with "The Other Side" as the Symbiant Coordinator working with vendors, healers and other autonomous groups participating within an Oracle Gathering. With the immanent departure of Morgan Markowitz to the east coast, Alisha has stepped up to take on the responsibilities of Managaing Director. She brings many years of experience with Seattle Hempfest.
